LV ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 140 15. ELECTRIC CHROMIC MIRROR (EC-IRVM) (IF EQUIPPED) A. DESCRIPTION: The electric rearview mirror automatically controls the glare from the headlamp of the vehicle behind you in nighttime or low light driving conditions. When the engine is running, the glare is automatically controlled by the sensor mounted in the rearview mirror. The sensor detects the light level around the vehicle, and automatically adjusts to control the headlamp glare from vehicles behind you. Whenever the shift lever is placed in R (Reverse), the mirror will automatically go to the brightest setting in order to improve the drivers view behind the vehicle. LOCATION: It is located at top portion of front windscreen glass with connector position in upward direction. CONNECTOR DETAILS: PIN DETAILS 1 IGNITION 2 GND 3 REVERSE INHIBIT 4 OCE FEED (+) 5 OCE FEED (-) REMOVAL: 1. Remove the rain light sensor big & small covers from the front windscreen. 2. Disconnect the electrical connection of IRVM. s 3. Remove Rear view mirror from windshield glass.
