6F33 TRANSAXLE 13 D. OIL PUMP OVERVIEW The oil pump in HPT 6 A/T (6F33) is the paracoid type that improves the displacement efficiency, and it is integrated with the 26 brake chamber. The oil pressure generated by oil pump is used for clutch and brake operations. And, the oil lubricates the transaxle components and is circulated in torque converter and cooler. COMPONENTS E. VALVE BODY OVERVIEW The valve body contains two on/off solenoid valves and six variable Force solenoids. The on/off solenoid valves are actuated by the TCU and maintain two positions; open and closed. These valves are used to switch the shift valves. The variable force solenoids convert an electric current into a proportional hydraulic pressure. They are energized by the TCU and supply variable pressure to each of the clutch or bands dedicated regulator valves.
