BRAKES 47 B. REMOVAL AND REFITMENT OF REAR BRAKE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL 1. Loosen the rear wheel nuts lift the car on two postlift and ensure that parking brake lever is not engaged. 2. Remove the wheels. NOTE: For removal of Drum the adjuster assembly required to collapse. Use flat head screw driver to push the pawl and loosen nut suitably. 3. Remove the brake drum by unscrewing the stub axle nut as shown and gently tapping by mallet 4. Slacken off the hand brake cable. 5. Remove the parking brake cable holder lock pin from the back plate. 6. Remove the parking brake cable. Slip it up and out of the parking brake lever that is attached to the trailing brake shoe. 7. Disconnect the brake cylinder hydraulic line. 8. Remove return springs by using a brake spring tool.
