DRIVETRAIN-TA65 Star 54 21. REMOVAL OF GEAR SHIFTER HOUSING, GEAR SHIFTER AND SELECTOR CABLE: A. DISASSEMBLY 1. Ensure the gear lever in neutral condition. 2. Remove Lever knob, washer, cap screw and base plate. (Refer body section). 3. Remove the central floor console. (Refer body section). 4. Pry out both the cable lock plates and remove the cables from assembly gear shift housing. 5. Loosen/remove selector cable fastener to remove selector cable. 6. Unscrew the four bolts of gear shifter lever housing to remove it. 7. Rotate gear shifter housing, Remove lock pin & pry out the shifter cable. 8. Pry out the shifter selector cable ends from the transaxle housing.
