BRAKE 37 C. FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL Wheel Speed Sensor Connector: Pin Details: PIN NO. DESCRIPTION 1 Wheel Speed Sensor Signal 2 Wheel Speed Sensor Power REMOVAL: 1. Position the vehicle on two-post lift. 2. Disconnect electrical connector of wheel speed sensor. WARNING: Take proper precaution while disconnecting the wheel speed sensor from vehicle wiring harness, by not damaging pins of connector. 3. Remove sensor mounting screw and remove the wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle. NOTE: Before replacing wheel speed sensor, carry out diagnosis of wheel speed sensor. (Refer Trouble-shooting and Diagnosis). INSTALLATION 1. Clean speed sensor and its mounting surface. 2. Route the cable properly. 3. Install the wiring harness connector with wheel speed sensor cable. 4. Make sure that the sensor cable connector is fully seated and locked into vehicle wiring harness connector. 5. Insert the sensor into the sensor mounting hole and tighten the bolt to the specified torque (0.8 – 1.0 Kg-M). 6. Check the air gap between the face of the wheel speed sensor and the top surface of the toner wheel. NOTE: Air gap should be 0.5 to 1.5m. 7. Clear all fault codes and road test the vehicle to ensure proper operation of the brake system.
