34 ENGINE2.2LDICOR Check glow plugs for short circuits and/or for burning. Replace them if necessary. (Fig.68) GlowPlugs Fig.68 Cylinder HeadCover l Remove the baffle plate in the cylinder head cover by removing the screws. l Check the baffle plate gasket if it is torn/damage, replace if necessary otherwise it might result in high engine oil consumption. (Fig.69) Fig.69 Assemblyof Cylinder Head l Install ValveGuides andOil Seals l Install valves (Inlet & Exhaust) in their respective positions. l Install spring seats, valve springs and valve retainers. l Fit valve spring compressor on cylinder head. l Using valve spring compressor, compress the valve springs and install valve lock halves. l Assemble the glow plugs.
