17 AIR BAGS SRS 10. SRSWARNING LAMP FAULT CODES During the ignition (start up) of the vehicle. The system will make self tests and functionality will be indicated by the warning lamp which is placed in the instrument cluster. The warning lamp is switched on when a fault is detected. There are two different flash modes : 1. The lamp is continuously on wherever an error is detected. 2. The lamp flashes with a particular code depending on system errors. There are four flash codes : Flash Code 1 Squib Resistance error on driver air bag Squib Line. Flash Code 2 Squib Resistance error on passenger air bag Squib Line. Flash Code 3 Squib Leakage to plus or ground on any air bag Squib Line. Flash Code 4 Squib Resistance error or Squib Leakage to plus or ground on any pretensioner Squib Line. Lamp on continuously : All other errors (Only Internal Errors) - To be checked using Airbag diagnostic unit supplied by Tata Motors. The lamp flash code is built up like the following : Every flash lasts for 500 ms. The flash sequence is repeated once every 5 sec.
