14 FRONT AXLE - 4X2 C. ASSEMBLY OF FRONT HUB COMPLETE : I. ASSEMBLY a. Before proceeding to assembly of hub, ensure that all parts are cleaned properly; especially the bearings. Smear little grease on the OD of the outer race of inner bearing. Press the outer race into the hub using drift 2654 5890 35 07 with handle 2640 5890 35 11. Fig. 6 b. Pack the roller cage of inner bearing with grease and keep it in place in the hub. c. Smear little grease on the OD of the oil seal (always fit a new oil seal, if removed earlier) and press the seal into the hub using drift 2654 5890 35 04 with handle 2640 5890 35 11. Fig. 7 d. Smear little grease on the OD of the outer race of outer bearing and press the outer race into the hub using drift 2654 5890 35 07 with handle 2640 5890 35 11. Fig.8 e. Pack the space between two taper roller bearings of the hub with wheel bearing grease.
