27 486 PL ENGINE P Unscrew the mounting nuts of inlet manifold to the cylinder head. Fig. 43 Remove the inlet manifold, along with EGR valve, air inlet hose, throttle body assembly and fuel rail. Using spanner Pt. No. 2654 5890 0501 hold cam shaft gear and unscrew cam shaft drive gear mounting bolt. Fig. 45 Fig. 44 Fig. 43 Remove cam shaft drive gear. Fig. 44 Remove coolant by pass pipe from cylinder head. Unscrew and remove cylinder head mounting bolts, starting from extreme ends moving towards center. Fig. 45 Slightly lift cylinder head to clear locating hollow dowels from crank case. Remove cylinder head and place it on a work table. Remove cylinder head gasket.
