6 GEAR BOX G-76 4. REMOVALOF GEAR BOX FROMVEHICLE: Place the vehicle properly on pit or lift. Place chocks on wheels. Disconnect battery terminal cables, electrical connections of starter motor and remove starter motor. Drain the oil from the gear box by removing the drain plug. Collect this oil in a container. Remove the connection of the speedometer drive by unscrewing it. Remove the connection of the reverse indication switch. The connectors should be properly kept to side. Remove the earthing cable by loosening the bolt on the clutch housing. The cable should be properly clamped to one side so that it dose not get twist or left hanging. Fig. 01 Fig. 02 Fig. 03
