ENGINE 109 3. Connect the hose pipes & electrical connector to the vacuum solenoid valve. NOTE Assemble the vacuum solenoid valve hose as per marked end as indicated on the Hose and arrow mark should be at top. 4. Fit the engine cover. ! CAUTION Care should be taken to connect the ports of the vacuum solenoid valve to their respective hoses. Any interchanging of the connection will lead to malfunctioning of the EGR system. NON RETURN VALVE (NRV) This is provided to separate the brake booster vacuum circuit from the Engine Vacuum circuit. NOTE At the time of assembly the conical side hose connection of NRV should point towards vacuum pump. LOCATION The NRV is located on the firewall in the line between Vacuum pump and vacuum reservoir.
