ENGINE 41 iii. Air Filter Element Cleaning and Replacement : 1. Loosen and remove the mounting screws of air filter cover. 2. Lift the air filter cover along with hose. 3. Remove the air filter element. NOTE Check for any damage in the air filter element which may result in intrusion of unfiltered air. If found replace the air filter element assembly Check for any cracks in the air filter housing and cover which may result in intrusion of unfiltered air. If found replace the air filter assembly. If the service indicator red band appears then replace the air filter element. Fitment : For fitment follow the reverse order of removal. Clean the interior of the air filter element housing using a clean cloth. iv. Main Fuel Filter Replacement : 1. Disconnect the (3) fuel lines (Quick fit connector) as indicated in the figure below. 1. Return line to in tank pump 2. To HP pump 3. From sedimentor 2. Fuel filter plastic bracket has vertical snap fit lug, press it and pull the assembly fuel filter. NOTE Fuel filter bottle & bracket can be separately replaced or the whole assembly fuel filter with bracket can be replaced. WARNING The fuel filter will contain diesel in it, which may get accidentally spilled onto the operator if it is not handled properly.
