STEERING 30 iv. RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY : 1. Drain the power steering oil. (For procedure refer Power Steering oil replacement.) 2. Disconnect the steering column from the rack assembly by removing the bolt. 3. Disconnect the high pressure line (Pump to Rack) and return line (Rack to Reservoir). 4. Disconnect the outer ball joint from the knuckle by removing the split pin and hexagonal thin nut. Follow the same procedure at other end also. 5. Loosen and remove four mounting bolts and take out the rack and pinion assembly from the frame. FITMENT: For assembly follow reverse procedure of removal. NOTE: For vehicles with ESP, Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Calibration has to be done after wheel Alignment.
