ELECTRICAL 231 4. VEHICLE POWER MODE BCM operates various power modes of the vehicle and communicates same to all the other controllers in the vehicle based on the functional requirements. Vehicle power mode management has the following power modes: Awake KeyIN Accessory Active Start / Crank RUN 4.1 BATTERY SAVER FUNCTIONALITY 4.1.1 Description The battery saver feature shall disconnect the inadvertent load from the battery after the elapse of preconfigured time or if battery voltage falls below pre-configured level. BCM shall control the battery saver function to save the battery of the vehicle from getting discharged to such an extent that the vehicle cannot be started. If the user forgets to switch OFF any of the interior lights then BCM shall switch off the lights by switching OFF the battery saver output. BCM shall control & switch OFF the following interior lights by switching OFF battery saver output Inputs & Outputs: Roof Lamp Sun-visor Lamp Glove Box Lamp Puddle Lights On Fault – BCM logs the DTC against the battery saver output.
