ENGINE 273 MPFI 95 ENGINE GENERAL DESCRIPTION • Cylinder Head & Valve Train The cylinder head is made of cast aluminium alloy and has two combustion chambers arranged inline. Each combustion chamber has an intake and an exhaust ports. A single overhead camshaft driven by the crankshaft through the timing belt . The cam shaft has four cams, and each cam operates the intake or exhaust valve through tappets. The valve lash can be adjusted with the help of selective shims • Schematics Valve Train Valve Timings (at 0.1 mm valve lift) Inlet opens at 15° B.T.D.C. Inlet closes at 45° A.B.D.C. Exhaust opens at 47° B.B.D.C. Exhaust closes at 13°A.T.D.C.
