80 ENGINE 1.3 QUADRAJET (75PS) REMOVAL : 1. Check fuel level gauge on dashboard for operation as follows. a) Disconnect the Mating Electrical connector on tank unit under rear seat carpet. b) Check fuel gauge on cluster, Fuel gauge shows zero (empty) with ignition ON. c) By shorting the two wires of sender electrical connector, the fuel gauge will show full. d) If needle does not show full, check fuse, wiring harness, wiring connector and fuel level gauge (Dash board) Replace and retest. CAUTION : Q If gauge needle shows full with reconnected wires, check Suction unit Pump gauge unit.
