ELECTRICAL 42 1.8 HORN LOCATION Horn is located in front of the car, behind the front bumper, on frame-radiator support and chassis PINOUT DETAILS REMOVAL OF HORN 1. Remove the front bumper: Refer body group. 2. Disconnect the connector from horn. 3. Loosen horn-mounting fastener & remove Horn. 4. Remove the mounting bolt and take out the side-mounted horn. INSPECTION OF HORN Connect the positive terminal of the horn to battery (+) and negative terminal to battery (-). If a clean and sharp sound is heard, the horn is OK. If no sound is heard, check continuity of the horn coil using a multi-meter. If the coil is OK, check the settings of the setting screw. Adjust the setting screw till a clean and sharp sound is given out. REFITMENT: For refitment follow the procedure in reverse. HORN –TORQUE VALUE TABLE APPLICATION TORQUE Horn MTG Bkt 0.95 to 1.0 Kgfm
