Operate the bonnet opening lever from inside and ensure that the bonnet pops up properly, if not loosen the mounting bolts and move the lock in the oval slots provided in the mounting holes, so that it opens properly. 6. Apply the recommended grease to the sliding plates and cable. HOOD LATCH STRIKER REMOVAL 1. Open the bonnet. 2. Loosen and remove two mounting bolts and remove the hood latch striker. FITMENT For fitment follow the reverse procedure of removal. BONNET LATCH RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL 1. Open the bonnet. 2. Pull out the cable from the lock assembly. 3. Loosen and remove mounting fasteners of hood release lever and remove the lever. 4. Remove locking pin as shown in figure.
