LV ELECTRICAL 109 MAJOR PRECAUTIONS FOR REPLACEMENT 1. While replacing the BCMs, it is suggested not to touch the BCM pins with hand. 2. While tightening the screws, tightening torque must not exceed 3. BCM upper and lower covers shall not be removed while verifying/replacing the BCM. 4. All of the service tool instructions for BCM replacement shall be followed. 5. Base and Mid BCMs shall be replaced ONE TO ONE in place of the faulty parts. LEARNING OF THE RKE (REMOTE KEY) Learn the RKE (remote key) as per below mentioned procedure a. Unlock the vehicle and open the driver door. b. Turn ON->OFF->ON Ignition 6 times within 6 seconds and observe flasher feedback. Two flashes of Left - Right indicator Lamps and Telltale outputs that indicates BCM entered into Remote key learn mode. c. During 10 seconds time period, press both Lock and Unlock buttons of Remote Key simultaneously. d. BCM shall flash Left - Right indicator lamp and Telltale twice. In parallel, doors get locked and unlocked. e. Learn next Remote Key as per steps c and d, if required. Note: Maximum four keys can be learned. f. On exiting learning mode, BCM shall give single long flash. 12.2. BCM FUNCTIONS: The inputs and the outputs shall be understood as hardwired, CAN, LIN, RF signals based on the below mentioned color-coding. Black: Hardwired signals Blue: CAN message Brown: LIN message Green: RF signals 1. EXTERIOR LIGHTS 1.1 Turn Indicators and Hazard Lamps. 1.2 Turn Tip – Lane Changer. 1.3 Brake Lamps. 1.4 Head Lamp - Low Beam. 1.5 Head Lamp - High beam 1.6 Approach Lamps. 1.7 Position Lamps. 1.8 Front Fog Lamps 2. INTERIOR LIGHTS 2.1 Roof Lamp (With Dimming) 2.2 Illuminated Ignition Switch (Key Hole) – Parallel to Roof Lamp 3. WIPER WASHER 3.1 Front wiper low speed/ high speed/ momentary 3.2 Front wiper Intermittent. 3.3 Front washer with drip wipe. 3.4 Rear Wiper Control. 3.5 Rear Wash Control 4. VEHICLE POWER MODE 4.1 Battery Saver Functionality 4.2 Accessory Delay Functionality. 4.3 Transport mode functionality 4.4 Vehicle Power Mode Management 4.5 Active Wake-up Capability 5. CENTRAL LOCKING & RKE 5.1 Central Locking and Unlocking 5.2 Drive Away Locking 5.3 Auto Relock. 5.4 Remote Locking / Unlocking 5.5 Crash Unlock (Auto door unlock on impact sense) 6. USER CUSTOMIZATION SETTINGS 7. REAR DEFOGS CONTROL.
