BODY 32 4. Pull halfway the metallic clip present on ball pin socket from both side and remove the gas balancer. Follow the same procedure at other end. 5. Remove the top hinge mounting of the tail gate by removing two mounting bolts. Follow the same procedure at the other end and separate the tail gate from the vehicle. FITMENT For fitment follow the reverse procedure of removal. NOTE Ensure proper tightening torque is given to the hinges of tailgate. For torque value refer to the tightening torque table. • TAIL GATE LATCH REMOVAL 1. Open the tailgate. 2. Remove the tail gate trim. (For procedure refer tail gate trim removal procedure.) 3. Disconnect the link between latch and the Lock Barrel. 4. Loosen and remove three mounting bolts and remove the tailgate latch. FITMENT For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal.
