COMPONENTS OF FULLY AUTOMATIC CONTROL PANEL (FATC) The removal and installation of all components are covered in “On Vehicle Repairs” in this section FATC CONTROL PANEL FATC is an electronic control unit known as the con- trol panel having a built in algorithm to maintain the climate control system in the vehicle. It is capable of controlling the temperature, FAN speed, air distribu- tion settings in the passenger compartment and with the Auto button, the user can select all the above settings to be controlled automatically by the climate control algorithm. The layout of the knobs and pushbuttons on the control panel are as below. FATC Controls 1 AC Compressor ON/OFF Button 2 Blower Speed Control Knob 3 Econ (economy mode) button 4 MAX DEFROST Button 5 Rear Window Demister Button 6 Fresh Air / Recirculation Button 7 Air Distribution (MODE) Button 8 OFF Button. 9 Auto ON selection Button 10 Temperature control knob DISPLAY UNIT FATC display is shown on main display screen. FATC functions can be controlled using both the FATC control panel and the touch screen display. Whenever the user tap the FATC drawer, its expand & display different climate control setting options like Temperature, blower speed etc. and so used for managing the climate control Also, when the display is not in climate mode then climate information will be displayed on the all-time display provide on the top bar. i. AC COMPRESSOR ON / OFF BUTTON Press the AC compressor ON/OFF button to turn the air conditioning ON or OFF. The AC icon activated on the dis-play when the AC is ON.
