WORK INSTRUCTIONS FOR AIRBAG CONNECTOR MATING ( CO-DRIVER PASSENGER AIRBAG- AK-I SQUIB CONNECTOR) Point 1 - Without exception no repairs allowed for any type of damage to the connector. Especially in the case of a closed CPA as-delivered condition. Not visible damage could have occurred and lead to an impairment of the function of the connector. Therefore: A damaged connector or a connector with a closed CPA should not be plugged and has to be replaced by a new one. Point 2 - It is also not allowed, to re-open a closed CPA as-delivered condition with a device and a subsequent connection. The opening can lead to further damage. Point 3 - A correct functioning of the connector can only be guaranteed during the mounting process if: · The connector will not be damaged by mechanical or chemical attack. · No contaminants such as oil, grease or foreign substance (cuttings, grime) get in touch with the connector DO'S 1 st step : locking the « CPA » by pushing in the connector axis 2 nd step : Continue to push in the connector axis DON'TS G 5446 5460 00 03
