ELECTRICAL 148 20. TELEMATICS (‘ IF APPLICABLE’ ) A. Tata Motors Connected Car System: Car is equipped with Connected Vehicle Technology, which offers a host of features to the users through the “Connected Car” Mobile Application (APP). The Vehicle is equipped with an Electronic Control unit, which monitors & records the data from various vehicle systems Like Engine management, Transmission, ABS & other Electrical systems. This data is then processed & used for providing the connected Car features. B. The Connected Car module records the following information: a. Vehicle Telemetry data: This includes the periodic transmission of data from other vehicle ECUs & systems Like Engine management, Transmission, ABS & other Electrical systems etc along with the geographical location of the vehicle. b. Driving behavior & Trip data: This includes the location, speed, acceleration, trip details etc. c. Event based recording: This includes data generated during specific events like vehicle collision, intrusion, un- authorized entry etc. C. TCM Location It is Located below Co-Driver Seat. D. Pre-checks for Installation of the Telematics Control Module  Please ensure the availability of correct part number as per the model in which TCM is to be installed.  Ensure that TCM is not more than 5 months old. Date of manufacturing is available on TCM sticker in YY-MM-DD format.  Record the TCM details like ICCID, IMEI & Serial Number for reference E. Pre-Checks / Tasks to be done before replacing the Telematics Control Module  After performing all the necessary checks as per the troubleshooting guide, at wiring harness, switches etc., and if no root cause is found, then follow the below steps for replacement.
