FUNCTION ACTIVATION CONDITION Button 1 (Lock) Button 2 (Approac h) Button 3 (Tailgate) Button 4 (Unlock) Short press Long press Short press Long press Short press Long press Short press Long press 1 Lock Vehicle is in unlock state and Lock button is pressed on RKE. × 2 Vehicle Seek Vehicle is in Lock state and Lock button is pressed, after the lapse of Double lock timer. × 3 Approach light ON Approach light is in OFF state and Approach light button is pressed and released. (Other preconditions as per BCM requirements to be satisfied). × 4 Approach light OFF Approach light is in ON state and Approach light button is pressed and released. (Other preconditions as per BCM requirements to be satisfied). × 5 Unlock Vehicle is in Lock state and Unlock button is pressed on RKE. Only Driver door will be unlocked if Two Stage Unlocking is enabled on BCM. (As per EOL configuration). × 6 Force Panic Lock and Unlock button are pressed simultaneously. × × × 7 Tailgate Unlock Tailgate unlock button on UID is used to unlatch the tail gate If RKE is used , long press (more than 2 sec) of approach light button on RKE will unlatch tail gate) × MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLE SHOOTING CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTION / REFERENCE ITEM ECU Communication Error OBD connection  Check the OBD cable connection with Diagnostic Connector of vehicle.  Check the OBD cable connection with Silicon Engine module Com port connection  Check the com settings.  Connect RS232 cable to COM Port.  Check the ‘DSR’ and ‘DTR’ LEDs are on RS232 Silicon Engine module. If both are Red re-initialize the unit. PCMCIA Card Connection  For details read the reference document “PCMCIA_Card_Port_Settings_PDF” available on site https://ed.tatamotors.com USB Port Connection  Check the USB LED on USB Silicon Engine.  If it is red then connect USB Cable to USB Port and Install the drivers from the CD or from the application path directory.  Check the USB LED on USB Silicon Engine. If it is green then initialize the unit. Software Not Working Corrupt version of Software  Reinstall the software.
