TRANSAXLE - TA65 Star 52 25. REMOVAL OF GEAR SHIFTER AND SELECTOR CABLE: 1. Ensure the gear lever in neutral condition. 2. Remove Lever knob, washer, cap screw and base plate. (Refer body section). 3. Remove the floor console Assembly. (Refer body section). 4. Pry out both the cable lock plates and remove the cables from assembly gear shift housing. 5. Disconnect Gear selector cable from gear shifter Linkage housing. 6. Rotate gear shifter housing, Remove lock pin & pry out the shifter cable. 7. Pry out the shifter selector cable ends from the transaxle housing. 8. Pull out the plunger from transaxle cable and remove it from the transaxle cable anchoring bracket. 9. Loosen the cable grommet nut mounting from firewall to remove the assembly.
