BODY 35 4.19. TRUNK LID REMOVAL 1. Open the trunk. 2. Remove all the electrical connections to the tail lamp assembly on the trunk lid. 3. Pull halfway the metallic clip present on ball pin socket from both side and remove the gas balancer. Follow the same procedure at other end. 4. Remove the mounting bolts of the four hinge assembly. Follow the same procedure at the other end and separate the trunk lid from the vehicle. FITMENT For fitment follow the reverse procedure of removal. NOTE Ensure proper tightening torque is given to the hinges of tailgate. For torque value refer to the tightening torque table.  TRUNK LID LATCH REMOVAL 1. Open the trunk lid. 2. Disconnect the link between latch and the Lock Barrel. 3. Disconnect the electrical connection to the latch. (If applicable)
