P062D-29: Fuel Injector Driver Circuit Performance– Signal Invalid Overview: ISO Code P062D-29 Customer Symptom Vehicle /engine speed will be restricted Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Inactive driver gas pedal 2. Loss of torque via safety fuel cut off Lamp Status (If Any) CE Lamp ON after 1 drive cycle Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged when there is short circuit between Acc. Pedal Position Sensor 1 & 2 or loss of synchronization between two Acc pedal position sensor. Normal Operating Condition Acc Pedal Position Sensor A & B gives correct input to EMS ECU. Probable Trouble Area Wiring harness Connections, Pedal Position Sensor A/B Faulty, EMS ECU Healing Condition Ignition and after 1 drive cycles of fault rectification Fault permanent deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: For safety reasons, the accelerator pedal Sensor is equipped with 2 resistors (potentiometers) with varying operating ranges and separate circuits. A potentiometer informally a pot, is a three- terminal resistor with a sliding contact that forms an adjustable voltage divider. If only two terminals are used, one end and the wiper, it acts as a variable resistor or rheostat . Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between Pedal Sensor 1/2 and EMS ECU. 2) Check for back out of pins at both Pedal Sensor 1/2 connector and ECU connector. 3) Check for damage of pins at both Pedal Sensor 1/2 connector and ECU connector. 4) Check the continuity from Pedal Sensor 1/2 connector pins to the ECU pins. 5) Pedal Sensor 1/2 Faulty 6) EMS ECU faulty
