P0369-1F: Camshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Intermittent – Circuit Intermittent Overview: ISO Code P0369-1F Customer Symptom MIL turns ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Emission will get affected It will not effect drivability. If error occurs in Idle-vehicle will continue to run If error occurs during driving-vehicle will continue to run without any restrictions If error occurs before starting-vehicle will start with more start time & run in limp home Lamp Status (If Any) MIL turn ON after 3 drive cycle Fault Detection Condition Disturbance of camshaft sensor due to loose contact, interferences, oscillations. Wear in camshaft quick start(QS) wheel, eccentrically mounted QS wheel. Normal Operating Condition Cam shaft Sensor sends plausible signal to EMS ECU continuously and signal rate is within threshold. Probable Trouble Area Wiring Harness connections, Cam Sensor, Cam Sensor mounting, Cam shaft damage Healing Condition After 3 drive cycles Fault present deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4.ECU flashing 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: A typical Hall Effect Sensor has three wires or terminals: one for ground, one for supply or reference voltage and one for the output signal. To produce an output signal, a Hall Effect Sensor must be supplied with a reference voltage. When a metal/wheel passes through the air gap between the magnetic field (Magnet) and silicon chip (CAM Sensor), it blocks the magnetic field and causes the chip’s output voltage to suddenly drop to zero else the chip's output voltage is 4.7 Volts.
