P0303-92: Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected-Performance or Incorrect Operation Overview: ISO Code P0303-92 Customer Symptom Poor Drivability.Alternate Cylinder cut Off & Vehicle stall Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Poor drivability. 2. Misfire / Backfire. 3. Exhaust heat up. 4. Threat to damage catalytic converter & ignition system. Lamp Status (If Any) MIL ON after 3 drive cycle Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if Cylinder 3 Spark plug / Ignition Coil misfire is detected. Normal Operating Condition Proper firing by spark plugs / Ignition Coils and proper fuel injection by Injector cylinder 3. Probable Trouble Area Injectors/ Ignition Coil B faulty wiring Harness connections, Clogged Injectors, Faulty Spark Plugs / Ignition Coil B, HT cables, low compressor pressure, improper valve clearance, improper valve timing, Faulty ECT Sensor. Healing Condition Engine Running and 3 drive cycles Fault permanent deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: NA Preliminary Checks: 1. Faulty Wiring Harness connections of Injector cylinder 3 / Ignition Coil B 2. Clogged Injector cylinder 3 3. Faulty Ignition Coil B /HT Cables / Spark Plugs 4. Low Compression Pressure 5. Improper valve clearance 6. Improper Valve timing 7. Faulty ECT Sensor
