SRS / Airbag ECU AB12 DTC Troubleshooting Guide Version: 2.0 Date: 21-June-2021 B0075-12:- Second Row Passenger Seatbelt Pretensioner Deployment Control circuit short to battery Overview:- ISO Code B0075-12 Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Second Row Passenger Seatbelt Pretensioner deployment not guaranteed, if a crash happens Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if any of the high side (B12) or low side pin (B11) of Second Row Passenger Seatbelt Pretensioner gets shorted with battery line. Normal Operating Condition No short with battery should be present. Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Second Row Passenger Seatbelt Pretensioner Module Airbag Wiring Harness Airbag ECU Healing Condition Remove the short to battery. Component Details:- (Refer Annexure 2 for Mounting Location of AB12 Airbag ECU) Second Row Passenger Seatbelt Pre tensioner Module : - It is located at the rear driver door wheel arch inner panel. Airbag ECU : - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the driver and passengers Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound. Troubleshooting:-
