P0245-11: Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid “A” Low – Circuit Short to Ground Overview: ISO Code P0245-11 Customer Symptom Boost Control strategy will not be active Fault Effects (On Vehicle) By pass valve will be completely Opened.Boost Control strategy will not be active .Vehicle driveability will be affected Lamp Status (If Any) MIL ON after 3 drive cycles Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if the Turbo charger by pass valve control pin of EMS ECU is Short Circuited to Ground Normal Operating Condition Healthy wiring harness connections between EMS ECU and turbocharger bypass valve Probable Trouble Area Wiring Harness connections, By pass valve Healing Condition Ignition ON and after 3 driving cycles of fault rectification Fault permanent Deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: Turbo Charger bypass valve is a solenoid valve, whose magnetic coil is energized to open the valve. Valve can be opened in any position between its 0% Opening to 100% Opening by controlling the magnetic coil energization. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between bypass valve and EMS ECU. 2) Check for back out of pins at both bypass valve connector and ECU connector. 3) Check for damage of pins at both bypass valve connector and ECU connector. 4) Check the continuity bypass valve connector pins to the ECU pins. 5) Check whether the bypass valve is getting main relay power supply
