SRS / Airbag ECU AB12 DTC Troubleshooting Guide Version: 2.0 Date: 21-June-2021 B100F-55:- Frontal Impact Right Sensor Control not configured Overview:- ISO Code B100F-55 Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Front crash detection performance is degraded & Front Right angular crash detection is not guaranteed. Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Detection Condition Frontal Impact Right Sensor is not configured in EOL, but physically present in the vehicle Normal Operating Condition Frontal Impact Right Sensor configuration & physical presence in the vehicle should be as per the VC Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Frontal Impact Right Sensor deployment Module Airbag Wiring Harness Airbag ECU Healing Condition Correct System configuration should be written to Airbag ECU as per VC. Frontal Impact Right Sensor physical presence should be as per VC. Component Details:- (Refer Annexure 2 for Mounting Location of AB12 Airbag ECU) Frontal Impact Sensor :- It is usually located in the radiator support vertical member. Front impact sensors collect the data necessary to make decisions about Airbag deployment. Airbag ECU : - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the driver and passengers Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound. Troubleshooting:-
