SRS / Airbag ECU AB12 DTC Troubleshooting Guide Version: 2.0 Date: 21-June-2021 B0013-55:- Passenger Knee Airbag Deployment Control not configured Overview:- ISO Code B0013-55 Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Passenger Knee Airbag deployment not guaranteed, if a crash happens Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Detection Condition Passenger Knee Airbag Deployment Device is not configured in EOL, but physically present in the vehicle Normal Operating Condition Configuration & physical presence in the vehicle should be as per the VC. Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Passenger Knee Airbag Module Airbag Wiring Harness Airbag ECU Healing Condition 1.Correct System configuration should be written to Airbag ECU as per VC. 2.Passenger Knee Airbag physical presence should be as per VC. Component Details:- (Refer Annexure 2 for Mounting Location of AB12 Airbag ECU) Passenger Knee Airbag: - The Passenger knee airbag is placed below the steering wheel from the lower part of the dashboard Airbag ECU : - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the driver and passengers Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound. Troubleshooting:-
