SRS / Airbag ECU AB12 DTC Troubleshooting Guide Version: 2.0 Date: 21-June-2021 B0029-55:- Inflatable Curtain Airbag RH Deployment Control 1 not configured Overview:- ISO Code B0029-55 Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster Fault Effects (On Vehicle) No effect Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster Fault Detection Condition Right Side Curtain Deployment Device is not configured in EOL, but physically present in the vehicle Normal Operating Condition Right Curtain configuration & physical presence in the vehicle should be as per the VC. Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Right Curtain System Configuration Airbag ECU Healing Condition 1. Correct System configuration should be written to Airbag ECU as per VC. 2. Right Curtain physical presence should be as per VC. Component Details:- (Refer Annexure 2 for Mounting Location of AB12 Airbag ECU) Right Curtain Module : - In the vehicle, curtain Airbag is folded and installed behind roof headliner on Right Side of the vehicle. Airbag ECU : - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the Left and passengers. Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound.
