SRS / Airbag ECU AB12 DTC Troubleshooting Guide Version: 2.0 Date: 21-June-2021 B0021-11:- Inflatable Curtain Airbag LH Deployment Control 1 circuit short to ground Overview:- ISO Code B002111 Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Left Curtain deployment not guaranteed, if a crash happens Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster. Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if any of the high side (B18) or low side pin (B17) of Left Curtain gets shorted with ground line. Normal Operating Condition No short with ground should be present. Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Left Curtain Module Airbag Wiring Harness Airbag ECU Healing Condition Remove the short to ground. Component Details:- (Refer Annexure 2 for Mounting Location of AB12 Airbag ECU) Left Curtain Module : - In the vehicle, curtain Airbag is folded and installed behind roof headliner on Left Side of the vehicle. Airbag ECU : - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the driver and passengers. Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound. Troubleshooting:-
