SRS / Airbag ECU AB12 DTC Troubleshooting Guide Version: 2.0 Date: 21-June-2021 B0021-55:- Inflatable Curtain Airbag LH Deployment Control 1 not configured Overview:- ISO Code B0021-55 Customer Symptom SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster Fault Effects (On Vehicle) No effect Lamp Status (If Any) SRS Warning Lamp continuously ON in Instrument Cluster Fault Detection Condition Left Side Curtain Deployment Device is not configured in EOL, but physically present in the vehicle Normal Operating Condition Left Curtain configuration & physical presence in the vehicle should be as per the VC. Probable Trouble Area Related wiring Harness, connector or terminals Left Curtain System Configuration Airbag ECU Healing Condition Correct System configuration should be written to Airbag ECU as per VC. Left Curtain physical presence should be as per VC. Component Details:- (Refer Annexure 2 for Mounting Location of AB12 Airbag ECU) Left Curtain Module : - In the vehicle, curtain Airbag is folded and installed behind roof headliner on Left Side of the vehicle. Airbag ECU : - It is fitted in the floor of central console in the car. The Airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) controls the deployment system to allow an appropriate igniting of the Airbags and belt pre-tensioners to restrain the driver and passengers. Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check Battery Voltage (12 V & above) 2. Check for any faults in Airbag Warning Lamp indication in Instrument Cluster. 3. Ensure the proper locking of Airbag ECU wiring harness connectors in the vehicle by the locking sound.
