B1019 – 12:- Control Signal to Crank Relay Output – Short to Battery Overview:- ISO Code (DTC Code) B1019 – 11 Customer Symptom 1. In ACC & IGN not power mode related LED will turn on in SSB. 2. Vehicle will crank. 3. In IGN, clutch pedal is pressed, clutch telltale will turn OFF and if release telltale will turn ON. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. No power mode LED correct indication to user ACC & IGN. 2. Vehicle will crank. Lamp Status (If Any) N.A. Fault Detection Condition 1. Permanent short circuit to battery of control signal to crank relay output. 2. Wire cut & shorting to battery of Connector-3 / Pin-17 signal. 3. Bending of pin-17 of connector-3 and shorting to adjacent pin. Normal Operating Condition 1. Vehicle battery voltage shall be normal. 2. No fault on control signal to crank relay output should be present. Probable Trouble Area 1. Permanent short circuit to battery of control signal to crank relay output. 2. Wire cut & shorting to battery of Connector-3 / Pin-17 signal with vehicle body. 3. Bending of pin-17 of connector-3 and shorting to battery pin. Healing Condition 1. After fixing short to battery fault on control signal to crank relay output, vehicle will crank normally. Table 53:- B1019 - 12 overview details Component Details:- 1. PEPS ECU 2. Crank relay 3. Start/stop button Preliminary Checks :- 1. Check vehicle battery voltage, it should be normal. 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending or damage.
