B1318 – 11:- Driver Door Handle Switch – Short to Ground Overview:- ISO Code (DTC Code) B1318 - 11 Customer Symptom Unable to lock/unlock vehicle by pressing driver door handle switch. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Unable to lock/unlock vehicle by pressing driver door handle switch. Lamp Status (If Any) N.A. Fault Detection Condition 1. If Driver DHS is press and hold for more than 20 secs, DTC will log. 2. If Input switch test routine is executed and low to high transition is not detected than DTC will log. Normal Operating Condition 1. Vehicle battery voltage shall be normal. 2. Driver door handle switch shall not be pressed continuously for more than 20 secs. 3. Valid paired UID should be present in driver door side and driver DHS should be pressed. Probable Trouble Area 1. Permanent short circuit of Driver door handle switch. 2. Wire cut & shorting of Connector-1 / Pin-15 signal with vehicle body or together. 3. Bending of pins-15 of connector-1 and shorting to each adjacent pin. Healing Condition 1. After fixing short to ground fault on driver door handle switch, passive vehicle locking should be performed from co-driver DHS or trunk DHS. 2. This is need for driver door handle switch to restore normal functioning. 3. Finally check passive vehicle locking/unlocking from driver DHS.
