U1006 - 42:-Control Module Internal- general memory failure Overview:- ISO Code U1006-42 Customer Symptom PEPS will probably not function or will function intermittently or partially Fault Effects (On Vehicle) HU unit inoperative Lamp Status (If Any) None Fault Detection Condition Fault logged in the event of an error in the data flash memory Normal Operating Condition Normal operating range:- ECU will be awake from 6V to 16 V. Full assistance is b/w 11.5 to 16 volts. Reduced assistance is b/w 9 to 11.5 V Probable Trouble Area PEPS internal damage Healing Condition N/A Table 3:- U1006-42 overview details Component Details:- N/A Preliminary Checks:- 1. Voltage at the battery terminals should be greater than 11.5V. 2. PEPS power supply connector should have greater than 11.5V for full assistance. 3. Check battery cable and PEPS connector terminals for damage. 4. Check PEPS ECU for pin bend/damage. 5. Alternator output voltage should be between 13.5 V to 14.5 V in engine running condition.
