START Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification. Is DTC B161A – 12 logged by Routine? Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check BCM and Internal Unlock Switch for terminal backout Are connectors loose? 1.Remove BCM Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged. Is connector faulty? Check continuity between BCMconnector pin [C4 - 16] Harness side) with battery [C3-2/C3-1] Continuity Found? 1. Remove Internal Unlock Switch 2. Check continuity between BCMharness side connector pin [C4-16] and Driver door lock signal [C095-5] STOP YES NO YES NO Reconnect connectors firmly Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) YES NO Correct BCM Sidewiring harness (Short to Battery) NO YES B161A - 12: Internal Unlock Switch - Circuit short to Battery Perform the visual check of connectors for pin bend or damaged Is connector faulty? Check continuity at Internal Unlock Switch [C4-16] with ground [C1-34/C1-47] Continuity found? BCM ECU Faulty Correct connector fault (Terminal Bend) Correct connector fault at Internal Unlock Switch mating connector YES NO YES NO Replace BCM ECU Continuity found? YES NO 1. Switch is faulty 2. Replace Internal Unlock Switch Check continuity between two terminals of Internal Unlock Switch
