START Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification. Is DTC B1619 – 12 logged by Routine? Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check BCM and Internal Lock Switch for terminal backout Are connectors loose? 1.Remove BCM Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged. Is connector faulty? Check continuity between BCMconnector pin [C4 - 3] Harness side) with battery [C3-2/C3-1] Continuity Found? 1. Remove Internal Lock Switch 2. Check continuity between BCMharness side connector pin [C4-3] and Internal Lock Switch STOP YES NO YES NO Reconnect connectors firmly Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) YES NO Correct BCM Sidewiring harness (Short to Battery) NO YES B1619 - 12: Internal Lock Switch - Circuit short to Battery Perform the visual check of connectors for pin bend or damaged Is connector faulty? Check continuity at Internal Lock Switch [C4-3] with ground [C1-34/C1-47] Continuity found? BCM ECU Faulty Correct connector fault (Terminal Bend) Correct connector fault at Internal Lock Switch mating connector YES NO YES NO Replace BCM ECU Continuity found? YES NO 1. Switch is faulty 2. Replace Internal Lock Switch Check continuity between two terminals of Internal Lock Switch
