Trouble Shooting: Start Connect the Diagnostic Tool and check for DTCs Is DTC B162D – 12 present? STOP NO Check DTC present is Current or history YES History? YES Is DTC B162D – 12 present? C Check BCM and Tailgate Unlock actuator for terminal backout NO C Are connectors loose? Reconnect connectors firmly B 1. Remove BCM side wiring harness connector. 2. Perform visual check of connectors for pins bend or damaged etc. A NO YES YES NO 1. Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) B162D – 12 : Tailgate Unlock Signal – Circuit short to battery 1. Clear the DTC from memory. 2. Turn the IGN to OFF. 3. Start the IGN. 4. Check for DTCs.
