B1644 – 05 : No Transponder Key Pairing Done – System Programming Failures Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) B1644 - 05 Customer Symptom No effect. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Engine will not start. Lamp Status (If Any) None. Fault Detection Condition SET: At every IGN ON as well as after transponder pairing, BCM shall check transponder pairing status. If no any transponder is paired this DTC shall be set. RESET: At every IGN ON as well as after transponder pairing, BCM shall check transponder pairing status. If at least one transponder is paired this DTC shall be reset. Normal Operating Condition BCM started the authentication of transponder via LBIBS then BCM should pair key. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault. 2. Harness wires shorted. 3. BCM ECU fault. 4. No any transponder key is paired. Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON. 2. Clear DTC Command. Component Details: BCM connector. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
