B1636 – 31 : Communication with LBIBS Module – No Signal Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) B1636 - 31 Customer Symptom No effect. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Faulty base station. 2. No communication between BCM and Transponder key. 3. Engine will not start. Lamp Status (If Any) Functional telltale used for fault indication. Fault Detection Condition If no any response from LBIBS to the request sent by BCM then BCM shall log the DTC Normal Operating Condition BCM started the authentication of transponder via LBIBS then BCM should receive response. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault. 2. Harness wires shorted. 3. BCM ECU fault. 4. Faulty base station. Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON. 2. Clear DTC Command. Component Details: BCM connector. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
