U1627 – 31 : LBIBS Module Communication with transponder – No Signal Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) U1627 - 31 Customer Symptom No effect. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Transponder key inoperative. 2. Authentication with Transponder failed. 3. Engine will not start. Lamp Status (If Any) Functional telltale used for fault indication. Fault Detection Condition BCM started the authentication of transponder via LBIBS and If no any response from transponder then BCM shall log the DTC. Normal Operating Condition BCM started the authentication of transponder via LBIBS then BCM should receive response. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault. 2. Harness wires shorted. 3. BCM ECU fault. 4. Transponder Key is not working. 5. Base station wiring harness shorted. 6. Component damaged. Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON. 2. Clear DTC Command. Component Details: BCM connector. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
