U1614 – 94 : Odometer Storage Fault – unexpected operation Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) U1614 - 94 Customer Symptom No effect. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Odometer value back-up is not updated Lamp Status (If Any) No effect. Fault Detection Condition Odometer value is not updated. BCM compares the received value from odometer with the stored value in VICM/BCM memory. If the received value is less, this DTC is logged. Normal Operating Condition Odometer Value should be updated over IPC and as well as backup value in BCM. BCM compares the received value from odometer with the stored value in VICM/BCM memory. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault. 2. Harness wires shorted. 3. BCM ECU fault. 4. CAN communication between BCM and IPC. 5. IPC Fault. Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON. 2. Clear DTC Command. Component Details: BCM connector & IPC connector. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
