U1614 – 62 : Odometer Storage Fault – Signal Compare Failure Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) U1614 - 62 Customer Symptom No effect. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Odometer value back-up is not updated Lamp Status (If Any) No effect. Fault Detection Condition Odometer value is not updated. Odometer values stored in 3 consecutive CAN signals from IPC are compared. If the values are not equal, DTC is logged. Normal Operating Condition Odometer Value should be updated over IPC and as well as backup value in BCM. Odometer values stored in 3 consecutive CAN signals from IPC are compared. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault. 2. Harness wires shorted. 3. BCM ECU fault. 4. CAN communication between BCM and IPC. 5. IPC Fault. Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF ON. 2. Clear DTC Command. Component Details: BCM connector & IPC connector. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (9V-16V) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
