Trouble Shooting:- P1E00 - 23: - ESS switch- Signal Stuck Low START Connect Diagnostic tool and check for DTCs Is DTC P1E00 - 23 present? STOP NO Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic Is Historic? 1. Activate ESS switch input and deactivate it. 2. Clear the DTC from memory Is DTC P1E00 - 23 present? YES NO Check DTC present is Permanent or Historic YES NO Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check BCM / ESS switch connectors for terminal backout Are connectors loose? Reconnect connectors firmly YES 1.Remove BCM side wiring harness Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged etc. NO YES A B
