START Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification. Is DTC B1610 – 12 logged by Routine? Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check BCM and Driver door Unlock actuator for terminal backout Are connectors loose? 1.Remove BCM Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged. Is connector faulty? Check continuity between BCMconnector pin [C 1-20 ] Harness side) with battery [C3-2/C3-1] Continuity Found? 1. Remove Driver door unlock actuator 2. Check continuity between BCMharness side connector pin [C1-8] and Driver door lock signal [C095-6] STOP YES NO YES NO Reconnect connectors firmly Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) YES NO Correct BCM Sidewiring harness (Short to Battery) NO YES B1610 - 12: Driver Door Unlock Signal - Circuit short to Battery Perform the visual check of connectors for pin bend or damaged Is connector faulty? Check continuity at Driver door unlock signal [C095-6] with ground [C1-34/C1-47] Continuity found? BCM ECU Faulty Correct connector fault (Terminal Bend) Correct connector fault at Driver door mating connector YES NO YES NO Replace BCM ECU Continuity found? YES NO 1. Switch is faulty 2. Replace Driver door unlock actuator Check continuity between two terminals of Driver door unlock actuator
