Trouble Shooting: B1308 - 11: Passenger Door Ajar Switch - Circuit Short to Ground START Connect Diagnostic tool and Run Input Test Routine and operate the switches as mentioned in the input switch test routine specification. Is DTC B1308 – 11 logged by Routine? Disconnect vehicle battery connection. (Please follow the safety guidelines) Check connection between BCM and Passenger door switch Are connectors loose? Correct connector fault (Terminals Bend) 1.Remove BCM Connector. 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pins bent or damaged Is connector faulty? STOP 1. Close all doors 2. Check continuity between BCM connector pin [C1-14] Harness side) with Ground [C1-34/C1-47] Continuity Found? 1. Remove Passenger Door Switch mating connector 2.Perform visual check of connectors for pin bend or damaged Reconnect connectors firmly Connector Faulty? Correct Connector fault (Terminal Bend) NO YES YES NO YES YES YES NO NO NO Check if Passenger door switch input[wiring harness side] is shorted to ground [C102-1]. Correct Passenger door switch side wiring harness (Short to Ground) 1. Close and Open the Passenger door 2. Check if Passenger Door switch is operating? Is Passenger Door switch is operating? Reconnect all connectors firmly NO YES Correct BCM side wiring harness ( Short to Ground) Continuity Found? YES NO NO Connect battery and other connectors of BCM ECU, if disconnected. BCM ECU Faulty Replace BCM ECU
